As a result, Ardent Mills is recalling various brands of flour and flour products. Limited production codes of Smucker Foods of Canada Corp. brands Brodie™, Golden Temple®, Robin Hood®, and Purity®, as well as Ardent Mills’ brands, are impacted. Please be assured, consumer safety and product quality are of paramount importance to our Company. We continue to closely monitor this matter, and support the ongoing investigation by CFIA and Ardent Mills.

Food contaminated with E. coli O121 may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea. In severe cases of illness, some people may have seizures or strokes, need blood transfusions and kidney dialysis or live with permanent kidney damage. In severe cases of illness, people may die.

Why is product made months ago just now being recalled?
The Canadian flour recall warning issued on March 28, 2017, has been expanded again by Ardent Mills and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) as a result of its ongoing investigation into possible E. coli O121 contamination of various brands of flour and flour products.

Limited production codes of Smucker Foods of Canada Corp. brands Brodie™, Golden Temple®, Robin Hood®, and Purity®, as well as Ardent Mills’ brands, are impacted.

If I cook or bake the flour that has been recalled, would it be OK to use?
No. If you have impacted product, we recommend you destroy the product and we will provide replacement coupons for your product.
