  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10 cup (2.5L) Bundt pan.
  • Beat shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla together on medium speed of electric mixer until well combined, about 1 minute. Add Sherwood sourdough starter and mix until combined. Mix in remaining dry ingredients. Stir in evaporated milk. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove and cool on wire rack. Frost with your favourite icing if desired.
