Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups Robin Hood® Original All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Line a 13" x 9" (33 cm x 23 cm) cake pan with parchment paper, overlapping the two ends for easy removal.
  • Beat butter, sugars and eggs together until creamy in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed. Add flour, baking soda, salt and nuts. Mix well. Spread in prepared pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly on top.
  • Bake in centre of preheated oven for 2 to 3 minutes or until chips are soft and shiny. Run knife through batter to marble. Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer, or until set. Cool in pan on rack then cut into squares.
