We’ve changed up the traditional brownie recipe by using white chocolate instead of dark and adding a little cinnamon and chopped toasted pecans. It’s a new taste sensation.

6 oz 170 g white chocolate, chopped
1/3 cup 75 mL butter
2 2 eggs
½ cup 125 mL granulated sugar
¼ cup 50 mL brown sugar, packed
1 tsp 5 mL vanilla
1 cup 250 mL ROBIN HOOD® All Purpose Flour
1 tsp 5 mL cinnamon
½ tsp 2 mL baking powder
¼ tsp 1 mL salt
½ cup 125 mL chopped toasted pecans, optional

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and line an 8 or 9 inch (2 or 2.5L) square baking dish with parchment paper, overlapping 2 sides for easy removal.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Stir until combined. Cool.
  3. Beat eggs, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl. Add cooled chocolate mixture. Mix until blended.
  4. Combine next 4 ingredients and stir into batter. Stir in pecans.
  5. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven 25 to 30 minutes, or until firm on the outside but moist inside.
  6. Cool in pan. Loosen brownies from sides of pan and lift out using overhanging parchment paper as handles. Cut into squares.
