GINGERBREAD COOKIES
You will need 1 Package Gingerbread Mix 1/3
(75 mL) cup butter, softened 1 egg 1 tbsp (15 mL) water
Instructions COMBINE all
ingredients. Mix well with wooden spoon.
ROLL OUT
dough on floured surface to ΒΌ" (5 mm)
CUT
with floured gingerbread man cutter.
PLACE 1" (2.5 cm)
apart on ungreased baking sheet
BAKE at 375°
(190°) for 8-12 minutes or until set and dry. Do not
overbake.
COOL 2 minutes on baking sheet then remove to
wire rack and allow to cool completely.
DECORATE as
desired.
GINGERBREAD
CAKE
You will need 1
Package Gingerbread Mix 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp (225 mL) water 1
egg
Instructions PREHEAT oven to 375°
(190°). Glass pan 350° (180°).
GREASE and
lightly flour one 8" (2L) or 9" (2.5L) square
pan.
BLEND all ingredients in small
bowl.
BEAT 3 minutes at medium speed on electric mixer.
Scrape bowl often.
BAKE at 375° (190°) or
350° (180°) for glass pan:
30-35 minutes for 8" (2L) pan
25-30 minutes for 9" (2.5L) pan
CAKE is done when
toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
COOL
for 10 minutes then remove from pan.
Shelf Life The shelf life of this product is 12 months from
the date of manufacture.
What exactly
is a manufacturing code, and how do I read it? For example, the
manufacturing code (date the product was made) might look something like
this: 6 365 548 0321 780
- The first number represents the year it was
made. For instance, the 6 in our example code means it was made in 2006. A
number 7 would mean it was made in 2007, and so on.
- The next three numbers represent the day of the
year the product was made. In our example, the 365 (or three hundred and sixty
-fifth day of the year) is December 31.
- The following sets of numbers are further plant
codes (i.e. plant number, time of production, etc.) and have nothing to do with
the date of manufacture.
