Fun, fast and easy to make, kids and grownups alike will delight in designing their own personal chocolate treat. The possibilities are endless!

Ingredients

Cupcakes

1 1/2 cups 375 mL Robin Hood® Original All Purpose Flour
2/3 cup 150 mL sifted cocoa powder
1 tsp 5 mL baking powder
1 tsp 5 mL baking soda
1/4 tsp 1 mL salt
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups 425 mL granulated sugar
1/2 cup 125 mL Crisco® Vegetable or Canola Oil
1 1/4 cups 300 mL water

Decoration

2 cups 500 mL prepared frosting
decorating icing with tips
scribblers icing
zoo decors

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Line 18 muffin cups with paper liners.
  2. Cupcakes: Combine first 5 dry ingredients. Mix eggs, sugar, oil, and water in large mixing bowl until blended. Add dry ingredients, stirring until smooth. Pour into prepared muffin cups.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool completely.
  4. Decoration: Cut, using the tip of sharp paring knife, a small cone from top of cupcake. Remove and cut tip off cone. Fill hole with decorating icing. Replace cone. Cover top of cupcake with prepared frosting. Decorate tops creatively with scribblers icing and zoo decors. Have fun!
