Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Chocolate is always a hit on the bake sale table. Double the chocolate, double the sales with these delicious cookies!


1 cup 250 mL butter, melted
1 cup 250 mL packed brown sugar
½ cup 125 mL sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp 5 mL vanilla extract
3 cups 750 mL Robin Hood® Oats
1 ½ cup 375 mL Robin Hood Original All Purpose Flour
½ cup 125 mL cocoa powder
1 tsp 5 mL baking soda
½ tsp 2 mL salt
1 cup 250 mL semi-sweet chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat butter and sugars until combined. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat in remaining ingredients.
  3. Roll 1 tbsp (15 mL) of dough into a ball and place onto prepared baking sheets, about 2” (5 cm) apart.
  4. Bake in preheated oven, 8-10 minutes. Cookies should still be soft to the touch. Let sit on baking sheets for 1-2 minutes until more firm. Transfer to wire cooling rack until cool.
