Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup Crisco®  Canola Oil
  • 1 cup Robin Hood® Original All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Robin Hood All Purpose Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped nuts
  • 2 tbsp wheat germ
  • 2 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Combine egg, buttermilk, oil and flour in large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Spread in prepared pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9" x 5" (2 L) loaf pan.
